Bony Omara one of the Ugandan engineer has announced that on Sunday, 06, November at midday, Uganda will have it's very first satellite launched.
PearlAfricaSat-1, the name for the satellite had been developed under the Joint Global multi-Nation Birds Satellite project.
It's still remembered that in 2019, Ugandan engineers Edgar mujuni, Bony Omara and Derrick Tebusweke got a chance and we're enrolled at kyushu Institute of Technology and were trained space technology.
Uganda is one of the several states benefiting from the Birds Satellite project which was initiated by Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan.
After undergoing all tests the satellite was handed over to NASA to conduct it's launching. The data from the satellite will be received by the ground station at Mpoma in Mukono district as said by the finance minister, Matia Kasaija.
The information will be used to monitor the environmental, urban planning, mineral exploration, and disaster management.
